Alterations Pricing
$50 Per Hour
Every gown and bride is different, so alteration costs vary based on the work needed.
Most alteration quotes can be discussed while you're wearing your gown during your fitting appointment, subject to availability.
Payment Schedule
- 50% due at your first fitting
- Remaining balance due at final fitting or pickup appointment
- Balance must be paid before the gown leaves the store

Every Fantasy Bridal gown receives a complimentary final press and detail before leaving our store.
This includes:

Recommended Alterations Timeline
8–12 Months Before Wedding
Purchase your wedding dress and schedule your first fitting
6-8 Weeks Before Wedding or Bridal Photos
Attend your first alterations appointment. Get pinned on exact alterations needs and pay at least 50% down
2–4 Weeks Before Wedding
Attend second fitting. Try on the gown with alterations either completed or mostly complete for any additional tweaks that may be needed. (Timeline may vary based on gown complexity and wedding date)
Wedding Week or Bridal Photos Date

During busy season, our alterations calendar can fill quickly.
If we're unable to accommodate your timeline, we'll happily provide recommendations for trusted local seamstresses who specialize in bridal alterations.
Frequently Asked Questions
No, Fantasy Bridal does not require you to get your alterations with us, you are able to choose your own seamstress. We can provide a list of seamstresses in and around the Salt Lake Valley if needed. We recommend meeting with a few different seamstresses to make sure you feel confident they can fulfill your needs.
Alterations are billed separately at $50 per hour. Complimentary pressing and detailing are included.

Many gowns include seam allowance that may allow for adjustments. Your seamstress can discuss options during your fitting.
Timelines vary depending on the work needed and the season. We recommend booking as early as possible.
We highly suggest scheduling your "Save the Date" on the day you purchase your wedding gown. We typically need 4-6 weeks to do alterations and the "Save the Date" saves your spot and guarantees a done date. If you elect to do bridal photos prior to your wedding date, this needs to be taken into consideration as we book the alterations.
